Based in NSW, David Saliba from MVM Autos has just launched the next evolution in sleeper cab technology, the Coolabah Cooler. Quieter and with more power, enough to cool even in the harshest Australian weather, it is the first of its kind.
Working in the sleeper cab industry for the past 20 years as a distributor, David is one of the co-founders of MVM Autos Newcastle with a secondary location in St Mary’s NSW. He saw a gap in the current market and services that were missing from trucking industry needs.
The unit developed is called the Coolabah and produces virtually no noise, is lighter and smaller, runs for more than one night on one battery charge, but is still powerful enough to cool in the hottest Australian temperatures.
Using a variable speed condenser fan, it works to ensure an optimum refrigeration pressure for the most efficient operation. A heating system was also added to the unit for improved comfort.
NCM Lithium Battery technology enables the weight and size of a standard truck battery to deliver the power of up to six, power that can also be used to recharge your truck batteries in case of emergency at the press of a button.
With a life span of 2000 cycles, the Coolabah is expected to outlast any standard truck battery, lasting an estimated 10 years.
