Here’s a great video shot by an Aussie YouTube stalwart, ‘alwaysoffroad’, who has been posting video about trucking both here and in the US for a number of years. Here we see him climbing the Kuranda Range in an International Eagle pulling a superlift end tipper.
By speeding the video up to just the right speed it gives the impression of something very similar to the Formula One video we see most weekends on TV. Of course the difference is, there is traffic coming the other way, the truck is running at forty-plus tonnes and the gears are being changed manually in a non-synchro gearbox.
