Enhancements to the Ryco website have been designed to improve the Filter identification with a better data layout for ‘Application Search’ and the help of predictive text to speed up the process.
New columns in the application data now include Series, Cylinders, Litres, Year, Fuel Type, Engine Code etc. Clicking on the column header sorts the data in ascending and descending order similar to an Excel sort with the further enhancement of a ‘Hover Over’ function which opens up additional information on filters and engine codes.
A new Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) column has been added to the application search for the new range of Ryco DPF filters with additional product information located in the ‘Products’ tab. Ryco SynTecTM product information is also located under ‘Oil’ in the ‘Product‘ tab with similar functionality.
For ease of location to the nearest Ryco stockist the ‘Where to Buy’ search not only includes a search by postcode but also the town or city up to a radius of 50 km.
The latest enhancements now incorporated into the Ryco site come on the back of a complete platform and data upgrade of the Ryco Filters New Zealand site which required the amalgamation of Australian and New Zealand carpark data into a single source managed by GUD Automotive’s expert Product Management Team operating out of the company’s Melbourne head office.
‘By bringing the New Zealand data feed into one data base we were able to bring new enhancements across to our Australian site,” said Ryco Marketing Manager, Melissa Simpson. “We are currently working on the next data improvements which will further enhance the filter identification process and this will be progressively rolled out in coming months. We are advancing our ERP and catalogue systems to integrate more ‘IT Smarts’ while automating other processes undertaken by our Product Managers given the high number of filters released each month.
“We are also conscious that some older versions of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE) are no longer supported by Microsoft and to provide the most optimised website experience it is recommended that it should be Version 8 or upgraded to newer browsers such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firebox.”
