New sales boss for Maxitrans

Maxitrans has announced the appointment of a new sales and marketing boss overseeing all of the brands under its umbrella. Andrew McKenzie has been appointed to the newly created position of Group General Manager Sales and Distribution.

The role gives him national responsibility for sales, distribution and marketing for each of Maxitrans’ trailer and rigid truck body brands. McKenzie has come across to Maxitrans from working for Paccar in a number of roles, most recently as General Manager of Kenworth and DAF of Melbourne.



Michael Brockhoff, Maxitrans Managing Director, is quoted as saying, McKenzie brings with him his extensive transport industry contacts and a great deal of experience in the sales and distribution of transport equipment products.



“Andrew has been extremely successful in his 10-year career with Paccar and we look forward to him applying his experience with one of the country’s leading truck manufacturers to the Maxitrans trailer business,” said Brockhoff.



McKenzie’s role will be to concentrate on building on Maxitrans’ distribution network.



“MaxiTRANS offers industry leading products through its Freighter, Maxi-Cube, Hamelex White, Lusty EMS, Azmeb and Peki brands, coupled with a broad network of sales, service and parts locations,” said McKenzie. “Those were major factors as to why I was excited to come on-board with Michael and the team.



“My first action will be to get out on the road with our sales team to speak first hand with as many Maxitrans customers as possible. I want to gain a firsthand understanding of what makes this company great and more importantly, what we can do to make it world class.”


One of the first tasks for McKenzie will be developing the new Company-owned NSW Dealership which is currently being put in place.



“Maxitrans NSW, through its two locations in Ingleburn and Warnervale, has already been a great success,” said McKenzie. “Not prepared to rest on our laurels, we are already looking to further enhance our customer experience and capabilities in NSW via a number of exciting announcements over the coming months.”
