Ceva Logistics have announced a new plan to build a, what they are calling, super site at Truganina, to the west of Melbourne. The new site is part of an ambitious expansion plan for the operation in Australia and New Zealand.
The 166,000 square metre site is to be set up as Ceva’s largest multi-user logistics facility in Australia. The four warehouses to be built on the site will cover 72,000 square metres and be used to increase the company’s ability to offer more multimodal services to customers.
“This announcement showcases our intention to keep making substantial investments in property assets in Australia and New Zealand,” said Casey Fisher, Ceva Managing Director in Australia. “Our new Truganina site builds on a range of other property developments we have underway in both countries, which will help us grow and keep meeting the growing needs of Ceva customers across diverse business sectors.”
Ceva says it has also set up new facilities and expanded a few of the existing ones across both Australia and New Zealand to extend its existing network. There is a 30,000 square metre car carrying and international freight management site at Pinkenba in Queensland, a 5,500 square metre extension to Ceva’s Auckland facility in New Zealand plus a 34,000 square metre contract logistics and international freight multi user facility at Hazelmere in Western Australia.
