The Australian Trucking Association is asking workshops to appreciate their young workers and nominate an apprentice to receive a scholarship. Cummins South Pacific is now looking for young service technicians from Australian workshops to receive one of three scholarships to attend the 2016 Paccar & Dealer TMC in Melbourne on October 24-26.
The scholarships are open to any Australian business employing truck service technicians. Nominees for the scholarship must be less than 25 years old as at October 24.
Each scholarship includes one full delegate registration to TMC 2016, including attendance at the Paccar Parts TMC Fun Night and the Castrol Vecton Awards Dinner. The scholarship also includes two nights standard hotel accommodation in Melbourne.
To enter an operator should identify which of their service technicians less than 25 years old can qualify. Then, in 25 words or less, tell Cummins why they deserve to come.
Entries should be sent to email@example.com. Entries close at 5.00pm August 17. The successful Cummins fully hosted delegates will be notified August 25.
Each scholarship is valued at $865.
Only one nomination will be accepted per business.
Nominees must be employed as a service technician.
Nominees must be less than 25 years of age as at 24 October 2016.
Hosted delegates must participate in the product training workshop streams at TMC 2016.
Prize includes two (2) nights accommodation for Monday 24 October and Tuesday 25 October at a venue decided by the ATA (room only). Any additional nights or expenses charged to the room are at the hosted delegates’ expense.
All entries will be judged by the experts at Cummins. Winning entries will be selected based on skill. This not a game of chance. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
