Victory for Kane in Freighter competition

Victorian truck operator Paul Kane has realised a dream by winning a Victory Vegas ‘8-Ball’ motorcycle in a customer competition run by trailer maker Freighter.

Paul Kane. A ‘victory’ in more ways than one in popular Freighter competition.

“I’d really like to thank Freighter for making a dream become a reality,” a jubilant Kane said after his name was drawn ahead of hundreds of entrants. “Getting a motorcycle is something I’ve wanted to do for years but never been able to justify. I’m going to have a lot of fun with this.”

Based at Alfredton in regional Victoria, Paul Kane is a customer of Freighter’s MaxiTrans dealership in Melbourne.

Explaining the popular trailer maker’s motivation in running the competition, Freighter general manager Rod Cunningham said, “We wanted to give something back.

“We recognise that a large proportion of this industry is made up of small operators to whom a new trailer is a significant investment. Combined with the tough economic conditions of the last few years, we wanted to give someone an extra reason to smile. I think that idea was reflected in the number of entries we received, literally hundreds over a period of three and a half months.”
