Yuki Murata takes new role in Belgium

Yuki Murata

After eight years as managing director of Isuzu General Motors (I-GM) and Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL), Masayuki (Yuki) Murata has been appointed as chairman of Isuzu Motors Europe Ltd, located near Brussels in Belgium, effective April 1 this year.

His replacement is Mr Koichi Yoda of Isuzu Motors Ltd (Japan), who will relocate to Melbourne once arrangements are finalised.

In a press statement Yuki explained that whilst his new position is effective from April 1, he doesn’t anticipate leaving Australia until late May or perhaps early June 2012.

“I have very much enjoyed my eight years at the helm of I-GM/ IAL and the friendships and associations I have made,” Yuki commented. “I have no doubt that IAL’s success will continue under Yoda san, and I look forward to hearing of Isuzu trucks achieving 25 years and more as number one in the Australian truck market.”
